Despite a brisk head wind, it’s not a bad day for a cycle ride. I’ve managed to avoid all the broken glass along the route and made it to the Cycle Hub.
I’m a member of an informal cycling group called Seaton Sluice Backpedalers. Our blog is here.
We are a group of cyclists made up of regulars of the Delaval Arms, Old Hartley, Northumberland. We formed in 2012 with the intention of completing the Coast To Coast route (Workington to Seaton Sluice) in the summer of 2013.
The 155 mile ride was successfully completed in June 2013 by fourteen cyclists aided by a support team of three. In the process, we raised money for the Percy Hedley Foundation and Marie Curie Cancer Care.
